Think Playgrounds’ newest installation: a herd of animals designed by the Phuc Tan Community!

After many consultations with children and adults of the Phuc Tan community of Hanoi, our latest installation was completed last month, ready to welcome the New Year! The playground’s design is inspired by different animals, with colorful structures to invite all kinds of play.

Through participatory design workshops,  we established the community’s needs, adding elements that were lacking in the Phuc Tan Forest park such as bars, hanging structures and more swings. The new benches use recycled plastic and refurbished materials from the Hanoi Creative Design Festival.

The playground is a collaboration between Think Playgrounds and Heritage Art Space, supported by Phuc Tan Ward, Hoan Kiem district and Hanoi Architecture Association, funded by Change X, as well as the French-German Culture Funds, Momo, Air Liquide and various community members.
